DAY 8 – Welcome to Cape Town
- Pick up from Project and start Cape Point tour
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Towering cliffs drop into the ocean on one of the world’s most scenic drives.
- Cape Point - Wild oceans crash into the tip of Africa at its most south-westerly point on this dramatic peninsula. It is
situated in the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve, where wildlife roams among the Cape’s unique fynbos landscape.
- Drive past Simon’s Town, Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, St James & Muizenberg – picturesque seaside villages full of history and
character.
- Overnight in Cape Town
DAY 9 – Cape Town
- Table Mountain - Your ascent to the top of Table Mountain takes just under 10 minutes and offers you a 360 degree view of the city. Once on top there are over 2km of pathways leading you to views over Cape Town, Table Bay, Robben Island the Cape Flats and the Cape Peninsula.
- Robben Island - From the 17th to the 20th centuries, Robben Island served as a place of banishment, isolation and imprisonment. The notorious prison on the Island was also used to exile political prisoners of the apartheid era (including Nelson Mandela) between the 1960s and 1991. Today it is a World Heritage Site and museum, a poignant reminder to the newly democratic South Africa of the price some paid for freedom.
- Walking tour of Cape Town: Specially trained tourist guide will bring to life the challenges facing the early Dutch settlers, the pain of slavery, the Cape as a colony, the tragedy of apartheid, and the joy and triumph of our new "Rainbow Nation". The walking tour takes in historical sites like the Castle of Good Hope, Grand Parade, and slavery sites like the Slave Lodge and Slave Tree. At the Parliament Buildings and District Six Museum you will hear about apartheid and get to understand the effects of racism and discrimination on the lives of ordinary South Africans.

DAY 10 – Cape Town to Hermanus
- Betty’s Bay – At Stoney Point in Betty’s Bay we get close to about 5000 African penguins.
- Kogelberg Biosphere – This UNESCO World Heritage Site has more plant species than many countries and is one of the
best natural showrooms for the diversity of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
- Clarence Drive – This coastal road winds between the ocean and mountains, passing seaside villages of wild beauty and
rugged mountain scenery. Hermanus - The world’s most exciting land-based whale watching venue.
- Hermanus is a laid-back seaside town with excellent restaurants and impressive coast line. Spend the afternoon
wandering along the cliff paths looking for whales in Hermanus or go on a whale viewing boat cruise to get closer to the
Southern Right Whales who are in the bay from June to November.
- Overnight Hermanus
DAY 11 – Hermanus to Sedgefield
- Canoe and hike – we start the morning with a scenic canoe trip through a river gorge before hiking to a waterfall in the wilderness mountains.
- Sedgefield is a quiet town situated in the middle of the Garden Route. It is flanked by beaches, a lagoon and mountains.
- Overnight Sedgefield.
DAY 12 – Oudtshoorn day trip
- Ostrich farm visit – We tour an ostrich farm, where the more daring among us can ride the ostriches (within weight limits). The rest of us get to stand on their eggs and make sure your friends take a picture of you hugging and kissing the world’s most friendly female ostrich, Betsie.
- Cango Caves – These caves are an illuminated wonderland of subterranean magic and mystery, with passageways and chambers meandering far below. The tour will explore the narrow passages and vast halls filled with colourful ancient stalactites.
- Quad biking – we end the day with a fun and adventurous quad biking tour through the bush and sand dunes.
- Overnight in Sedgefield
DAY 13 – Sedgefield to Tsitsikamma
- Knysna – This popular holiday town with a lively buzz lies between forested mountains and the sea, curving around a big lagoon. We will make a stop at the Heads, where the sea crashes through two massive sandstone cliffs.
- Crags animal experiences – You have a choice of 2 different animal encounters to experience. You can either interact one on one and learn about rescued orphaned elephants (supplement of R500) or walk in a large enclosed forest which is home to over 200 monkeys.
- Tsitsikamma National Park – Spend time in paradise as we explore the marine reserve with its unique combination of dramatic coastal and forest landscapes. Walk along forest trails to a suspension bridge and find a quiet spot from where to absorb this beauty.
- Bloukrans Bungee – experience the draw dropping adrenalin rush of the world’s highest bridge bungee at 216 meters!

- Overnight in Storms River village
DAY 14 – Tsitsikamma to Port Elizabeth
- Waterfall zip lining – This morning we go zip lining through a deep gorge and over waterfalls. There are 9 zip lines with the longest being 211 meters!

- Surfing and Shopping in Jeffrey’s Bay – Jbay is home to the best right hand point break in the world, here you have the opportunity to go for a surf lesson before we stop at the Billabong, Rib Curl and Quicksilver factory shops for excellent deals.
